JAVA GUI Application Development

Java is a computer programming language that is concurrent, class-based, object-oriented, and specifically designed to have as few implementation dependencies as possible. It is intended to let application developers "write once, run anywhere" (WORA), meaning that code that runs on one platform does not need to be recompiled to run on another. Java applications are typically compiled to bytecode (class file) that can run on any Java virtual machine (JVM)


This program encourages participants to learn Application development by building basic JAVA Application.

By the end of the course, each participant will build their own JAVA Application to perform basic operation for user.


Who Can Attend:

All the participants having basic knowledge of programming in any language (C, C++ or JAVA) are eligible for this course. Any prior knowledge of JAVA is not required to join this course. Basic knowledge of OOP will be helpful.

Zeroth Session

 

 

  • Installing JRE
  • Installation and configuration of Eclipse


First Session

 

  • Introduction to JAVA. Variable type, Class, Constructor, Methods, Flow-controls.
  • Object oriented Programming. First Code- “Hello World”. Introduction to IDE: Eclipse.

 

Second Session

 

 

  • GUI designing
  • Introduction to SWING Objects
  • Button and its feature
  • Adding listener to Button
  • Writing Algorithm
  • Finalising first project

Third Session


 

 

 

  • Problem solving session for home work
  • Creating second project  (Calculator)
  • Creating GUI
  • Adding all required objects to project
  • Adding action-listener to all objects
  • Writing final algorithm
  • Finalising and testing project

Forth Session

 

 

  • Creating third project .
  • GUI Design , object creation and action-listener implementation
  • Introduction of advance topics in JAVA application development
  • Future scope of learning .
